Child Benefit

Child Benefit payments are available for all those responsible for a child under the age of 16 and, in some cases, up to age 20. Only one person can claim per child - you can find out more from GOV.UK.

Working Tax Credits

Working Tax Credits offer a little extra support to make sure you're better off in work than out of it. Check the tax credit calculator below to work out how much you could get. Then go to the GOV.UK page for details of how to claim:

Child Tax Credits

Child Tax Credits support those on a low income with children. This can be claimed in addition to Child Benefit and you don't have to be working to qualify. Universal Credit

Universal Credit is a single payment that is replacing six current benefits and tax credits. On the Public Services Online page, you'll find a handy guide that explains what Universal Credit is, who it will affect and how you can claim it if you need to.

Jobseeker's Allowance
